OHR week 1 day 3
Really slow today... Only ran 30 mi s. First mile took about 13.5 mins...did that at 4.5. The rest was really slow... So tired today. Ran only 2 mikeda... Prolly did about 2.5 mikes total. Zzzzzzz....

OHR week 1 day 2
I hit 3.1 miles today! So slow, though. It took me a total of 46 mins... 5 min walk, 36 min run at 4.2 (4.5 for only 2 minutes), then a 5 minute walk. So slow! I hope I can get faster. At the 38 min mark my side started to hurt and I started feeling really miserable. The first 10 mins were pretty miserable too.... I noticed that if I can get past the fiest 10 mins, the rest doesnt seem so bad. Wow I ran for 36 mins without stopping. That's pretty awesome...

One hour runner - week 1 day 1
I'm going to try one hour runner. So it starts with three weeks of 30 mins runs (3 days a week). We shall see. Took it easy today..4.2 for first 25 and the rest at 4.5. I think I did 31 mins of running... Only did 2.8 miles.

Week 9 day 2
I did it! Did first 28 mins at 4.2... Then rest at 4.5. Know.. Big whoop... But I was super tired today and it was a miracle I even made it to the gym at all! One more day and I'm a c25k graduate! Still not 5k tho... Did a total of 2.75 miles...I walked a little extra at the end of the 5 min cool down so I could hit 2.75. Close but no cigar!

12/7/11 Week 9 Day 1
so i did 30 mins without stopping. first 5 mins on 4.4 and the rest on 4.2. i'm soooo tired today. might be because i stayed up to watch american horro story. scary show, that. hopefully i'll do day 2 tomorrow.
i've been looking into other programs to help me keep this up for when i finish c25k. woah.. finish c25k.. i can't believe i'm 2 days away! anyhow, i started c25k with a phone app (c25k pro)... it was pretty awesome and i think it's what kept me organized enough to get through the plan with all the interval running. the nice lady inside my phone would tell me when to start running and when to stop. my favorite was when she would say, "start your cool down walk." i stopped using the program at around the middle of week 7, when we were pretty much finished with interval running.
i'm debating now whether to go with bridge to 10k (b210k) or one hour runner (OHR). the good thing about b210k is that we go back to interval running... i was kind of a fan because i liked the walking breaks. the good thing about OHR is that it's just straight running - no intervals. running for a long time without stopping makes me feel really awesome. i think i might go with OHR just so i can keep working on running without stopping. we'll see. i really need to work on my speed - i did a total of about 2.65 miles today. still not close to an actual 5k. not sure if i'll be able to walk if i actually run 3.1 miles. i'm basically running about a 15 min mile. this is not too horrible, because back in september i couldn't even run a mile! i think i'm going to work on distance and endurance first, before trying to get faster.

Finished week 8!!!!!!
I can't believe I did it!!!! So that means I only have one more week of c25k left. Week 9. WLAN. I NEVER thought I'd actually get there...I'm the queen of quitting things. Wow. So on Wednesday I'm going to do week 9 day 1. That's 30 mins of running straight. I think I can do it!
Today I did 5 mins on 4.4, then the rest on 4.2. I think that's not too bad. After I finish week 9, I'm going to aim for actually hitting 3.1 miles... And then I'll work on speed. I'm probably going to do week 9 day 1 on 4.2 all the way. Omg!!! I can't believe I'm on week 9! Unbelievable!

12/1/11week 8 day 2
28 mins! 4.4 for 10, 4.2 for 10, the 4.0 for 8. Not too shabby! Overall, I did 2.5 miles in 38 mins. Not 5k yet... But working on it! Also am thinking about running outside, but it's usually dark by the time I get home. Maybe I'll try in the spring when it's a little warmer...if I'm still running....

week 7 day 3 and week 8 day 1
i did the last day of week 7 last tuesday before thanksgiving. 25 mins of running at 4.2. today i did the day 1 week 8. TOTALLY thought i was going to die - i think i did 4.4 for about 10 mins, then 4.2 for another 10 mins... and 3.8 for the rest. it was super hard. 28 mins of running with no stopping!! after the first 5 mins, i totally thought i was going to stop and take a break, but i kept giving myself lame little goals... like "just 2 more minutes," or "just .25 more miles..." or "when we get to the commercial break of this episode of friends..." or "when the long hand on the clock gets to the 8." somehow i made it all the way up to 28 mins!! unbelievable! then i had to go and play the organ at an ecumenical service. they did "this little light of mine" and no one knew the version in the hymnal and i wasn't smart enough to figure out the version they were singing. OH WELL! can't always succeed, i guess. so i did a total of 2.4 miles today in about 38 mins... so that means i'm about .7 miles away from actually doing a 5k. we shall see.....!

did 25 mins without stopping at 4.2 the WHOLE time! i totally wanted to die the last 4 mins... felt like it wouldn't end! i'm really sore now... and my back kinda hurts. not sure if it's from doing 4.2 the whole 25 mins or if it's from cramps. meh. i can't believe i did it, though. not bad, right? i'm kinda proud of myself!!

week 7 day 1...
25 mins without stopping baby! overall, i did about 2 miles in 30 minutes. not bad, right? especially considering the fact that i couldn't even run a mile. i have to keep telling myself that. so i did 4.2 for 15 mins and then 4.0 for the remaining 10. not bad, right? i'm kind of proud of myself!

11/8/11 - Week 6 day 3
i "ran" for 25 minutes without stopping. i can't believe i did it and that i didn't die. woah. i wanted to stop a lot, but i didn't. i did lower the treadmill speed from 4.2 to 3.7 though. i did 4.2 for 5 mins then felt like dying, so i went down to 4.0 for 5 mins and felt like dying, then i did like 3.8 for 8 mins and felt like dying, so i went down to 3.7 for another 5 mins, and then i went back up to 3.8 for the last minute.
the lady on the treadmill next to me was walking at 4.3.
i have short legs.

week 6 day 2.. 11/4/11
i forgot to mention that week 6 day 1 was made even harder by the man running on the treadmill next to me.... he farted the entire time i was there. disgusting.
anyhow, i did day 2 today... and i think it was OK.. i'm tired... but not dying. i went a little faster - i did the first 10 min set at 4.2... then i did the 2nd set at 4.0 the whole time! not bad, right? i was doing only 3.8 before! so maybe i'm getting a little better, who knows. wait, i definitely am, because i couldn't even run for 60 seconds straight 5 weeks ago. so i should keep going, right? even though i'm slow, right? okay. fine.

week 6 day 1 ...11/2/11
this was really hard. i think week 5 day 3 really wore me out... i basically sat on the couch for the rest of the day after running 20 mins straight. i also had a pretty awful migraine. i definitely didn't feel up to week 6 day 1... and i couldn't stop looking at the clock. oh well. i think i need a new station on pandora.. katy perry is not doing it for me. so i'm going to try to do week 6 day 2 tomorrow... so tired. this week was really stupid too. i hate lawyers.

finished week 5
HOLY CRAP! i just finished week 5!! i thought running 5 minutes without stopping was hard, then i thought running 8 minutes without stopping would be even harder, and then i thought running 20 minutes straight would be impossible! weird! i can't believe i did it! i had to go really really slow though.. maybe someday i can go faster. the hard part was not looking at the time...so i figured it would take about 4 to 5 songs for me to finish.. that was better than looking at the time, i think.
so it took me about 15 mins to run a mile... i guess that's not bad, considering i couldn't run a mile at all 7 weeks ago! i wonder if i can do this outside... but not today because it's snowing! snowing in october! wtf?!!??!
i'm gonna go stuff my face now! yesterday, i had a burger and fries from wendy's.... sooo good! i think they changed their recipe or something...seriously the best burger i've ever had from wendy's. ted's making me a bacon and cheese omelet now. yum.

10/11/11 - Finished week 4!!
so i really didn't want to "run" today. i was supposed to "run" yesterday but i managed to talk myself out of it. i finished week 4! wow! so it wasn't as bad as day 2, and definitely not as bad as day 1. can't believe i got through it! so maybe i'll start week 5 on sunday.... cuz i'm going to boston on thurs! yay! i'm hungry. i think i'm going to go to mcdonald's for a hot fudge sundae. yum.

Schweddy Balls
I love the SNL clip schweddy balls. They made it into ice cream. I have some. I haven't eaten it yet; today I am pigging out on Oreos, which may be my favorite cookie. Mmmm.
I ran yesterday day 3 of week 2. It was hard. Today I ran day 1 of week 3. The first part was hard, but the second was easier. Probably because the second was downhill.

9/26/11 week 3 day 1
i did week 3 day 1. yay! jake (my dog) tried to talk me out of it by sitting on my lap and looking really cute. he got off though, so that's when i went to the gym. so the first set of 90 seconds running 90 seconds walking 3 mins running 3 mins walking was really hard. i was going really slowly too. the second set wasn't too bad and i kinda wanted to keep running after the 3 mins, but i didn't. i didn't fail today. weird.

week 2 for jane
i finished week 2! woah! it was hard. i hope i can finish week 3. i hope i can finish c25k but i'll probably get distracted halfway through by the couch... it wants me to sit on it ALL THE TIME...
so i did day 1 on monday. that was ok. then i did day 2 on thursday. i was going to do day 2 on wednesday, but i was kinda pooped. my 83 year old client's wife decided to withdraw her divorce complaint... as well as her support petition. that was nice of her. so they're going to get back together.. i hope. this year is their 50th anniversary and my client told me that they were going to go up to new york to stay at the same hotel where they stayed for their honeymoon 50 years ago. that was sweet and i hope it works out. the wife is kinda crazy tho... but the 83 year old needs to not have to worry about getting divorce. i really hope it works out. then after work i fell asleep on the couch.. it always wants me to sleep on it too... stupid couch.
so maybe i'll do week 3 starting on monday.

week 2 day 1
yay! i ran week 2 day 1. but the stupid news is... when i was leaving work, there was some random metal box at the bottom of the stairs. of course i didn't see it, so i stepped on it and kind of twisted my ankle. so i go to the gym anyway, because i'm super dedicated to exercising... now my ankle hurts. fail.
jane's first week
i did week 1 of c25k last week. the first 2 days were ok. the third day was kind of hard. i think i was just being lazy. i did day 1 on sunday, day 2 on tuesday and day 3 on friday.
maybe i'll start the second week today. i suck at running and i'm really slow. i walk at 3.2 mph and run at 4.2 (sometimes 4.4) on the treadmill. my secretary told me that she usually walks at 5.0 mph on the treadmill. i do have short legs, though (i am a short-legged asian). maybe this week i'll fail less.
janae's going to do c25k fail too. we're going to call each other before going "running" to make the other person feel bad and guilt her into going "running" too. maybe that will help. i'm pretty bad at feeling guilty about not "running" though - the fact that i don't "run" doesn't usually guilt-trip me into "running."
