Heaviest weight perhaps

 I have been eating garbage and am close to or above my previous heavy weight.  So now I'm doing whole30.  Today is day 1.

Breakfast: scrambled eggs

Lunch: apples and almond butter, tea

Dinner: ribs and sweet potato fries

Snacks: almonds 

Exercise: went in a walk but got snowed on

 Up to 140 lbs.  Thighs really rubbing on the run. I wanna get down to 130 but first I gotta stop eating oreos and froot loops from the drs lounge every day so I'm gonna start writing down everything I eat and then all my readers can judge me.  I have so many readers

Jane's fastest 5k!!!

Well, apparently that was my fastest 5k ever. Thought I might so 2 miles, but got to 2.5 and decided to just get to 5k. Nice day for a run, not too hot. So weird that less than 2 months ago, I was running 4 miles a few times a week!

2 miles

Well, it was hard, but I made it happen. There were a ton of people outside today, walking, talking, walking their dogs, and some just standing around. Made me super uncomfortable. Also, this old white dude gave me a dirty look while shaking his head. Not sure if he was mad at the crowd of people, me for running, me for being Asian, or life in general. Anyways. I hope I don't get covid from running outside.

Just one mile today. So tired. Been staying up late reading this book. Ugh. I typically only reas happily ever afters, but I feel like this book inusy finished wasn't really happily ever after! So now I'm a little upset. Plus the world is ending. And our medical personnel don't have masks! Ugh!!!!

So tired, but actually shaved 2 seconds off the time compared to my last 2 mile run. So many people outside hanging out....not seeing a ton of other runners tho. Just a few here and there. Hope it doesn't get so bad that they tell us not to run outside

fastest 2 miles ever!

But I must admit, the second mile was downhill.. still not bad tho, considering how I couldn't run at all back in August. Also, I can tell I'm going faster because I ran in my pink hoodie today and my phone kept falling out of my pocket! That didn't happen before at my more leisurely pace. I'm practically a cheetah at this point. I hope my phone isn't broken

2 miles...

Went out for the first time in a week and half. Thanks, flu. So much for 10 miles last weekend. I barely got through 2 miles today, but they were my fastest ever, so I guess that's good. I don't think I'll be ready for the half, so maybe I'll change it to the 7.6k if it isn't canceled because of coronavirus. I did sign up for Broad St run though. We'll see.

4 miles

That was hard. I made chicken picatta for dinner and it took a long time, so dinner was late and everything was late. Got to the gym after 9 even though I tried my best to talk myself out of going. I was going to just do 2 miles, but somehow made it to 4. On my way home, this jerk was tailgating me for going speed limit, so I slapped on the cruise at 5 miles below speed limit to piss him or her off. They were so mad...kept high beams on and honked at me. Hehe. I hope it was worth it. Jerks.

4 miles... fell off the wagon

Didn't run all week because....flu. Well, Nathan had the flu, I had some weird dizziness headache exhausted thing going on. Maybe it was flu jr. Dunno. Anyway, didn't run because I was afraid it would then into Flu Sr. Ran outside today because it was 59 and gorgeous. Thought I'd go maybe 2.5 miles to get back into the swing of things, but I managed 4! It was so hard to run outside again after spending more than 2 months on the treadmill. I was sure I was doing 14 minute miles, but it turns out I went the fastest I've ever gone at 12.07 average per mile! And my last mile was under 12! Who knows!! I'm so ready for spring and nice weather!

I might die today. I think I need to bring a snack because the last mile was really hard and I felt like I had no energy. I was going to grab some candy but forgot. Running is hard. Also, Ted got me a Garmin and I tried it today but it thought I did 13 miles instead of 8. Why doesn't technology ever work?

4 miles

4 slow miles. A little tired today. I think one of my girls is having night terrors. She wakes up sometimes in the middle of the night with blood curdling screams. Last night, I went in and rocked herbuntil she calmed down. Then I went back to bed, but couldn't sleep. Oh well. The pediatrician said to try waking her up a little before I got to bed to reset her sleep cycle. Maybe I'll try it. Anyway. I like to put my sweatshirt over the numbers on the treadmill so that I'm not constantly obsessing over how many more miles I have to go. The guy who worked the front desk tonight told me I couldn't do that while I was running. I told him I needed to block the numbers, so he said he'd bring me a towel. He ended up bringing this huge towel that was way bigger than my sweatshirt. Super nice of him, but I think that might have negated their no sweatshirts on equipment policy? I dunno.

Every weekend since hitting 4 miles, I think, "there's no possible way I can add another mile." But somehow, I've actually managed to get to 7 miles. For some reason, 7 felt extra intimidating and I had a hard time getting motivated...but I got off my ass and went for it. To say that I feel like dying right now is to put it lightly, but I'm also feeling pretty proud of myself. Next Saturday: Jane v. 8 miles. Wish me luck...

I've been sooooo tired all week. I think my 7 piano lessons on Sunday killed me. I skipped Monday and went yesterday, but only got 0.8 in before I had to quit. I think I ate too much dinner so my stomach kept cramping. Super tired today too, but got in 5k at least. I wonder if Aunt Flo is coming for a visit because last month, I was super exhausted right before she showed her ugly face. Who knows.

That was tough. Got up at 5 to go to the gym, then came home, taught a piano lesson, drove to Delaware for Nathan's cello class, then came back and taught more piano. I'm pooped! I really want some Mexican food. Pics of my time. So slow. I walked .50 for warmup and cool down, I think.

I have never moved this much in my entire life.

The circled days are when I actually ran. The black sharpie miles are part of the training plan I'm following. I switched up running days because Tuesdays and Thursdays are crazy at my house, plus I needed more rest days before my long runs (I think....but I'm not sure, because last Friday I did a longer run... So who knows! I can't usually run Friday nights anyway because I teach piano, but last week my students were sick so I was off). Whew. I hope February looks just as good!

I. Just. Ran. Five. Miles.

I just ran five miles for the first time in....ever! Never thought I'd get this far. I thought it was a big deal when I finally ran for five minutes without stopping! My stomach hurts a little, but I'm feeling pretty awesome right now. Go me! I ran another 0.65 after the picture. I can't figure out how to put more than 60 minutes on the treadmill. The whole thing took about 65 minutes (not including 5 minute warm up walk and ear bud untangling time). Phew!!

I basically spent the entire day eating and may or may not have consumed half of a Domino's pizza. I don't know why I felt so hungry. Oh well. At least I got 3 miles in. Two rest days and then 5 on Saturday, I hope!

Week 2 of half marathon training. Still on schedule. We'll see if I can do 5 on Saturday. I hope so!!! Did day 6 of Home Yoga with Adriene last night. 6 pack abs. It was rough. I'm sore all over. And bloated.

I don't like running on the treadmill and I did week 4 day 3 but might keep with week 4 again because it was killing me.  But then after I lifted some weights for like 10 minutes and then I rowed 1km.  The gym is hard and work was poopy today

4.5 miles!

I wanted to do 5, but was dying and running out of time. Tired now, but glad I got 4.5! I think that might have been the farthest I've gone, like, ever. Pic only shows 4, but I went another 1 mile after that (walked 0.5 warmup).  I hope I don't get sick....

Stop being so hard on yourself!

I'm reading all these posts from like 8 years ago and it's always the same.  I say I'm fat, I need to do better, then I stop posting for a long time, then I start saying I'm fat again, etc etc etc.  My goals were always about looks and not about health.  Well my new goal is to get ripped.  Like I wanna be buff.  Don't care about weight, just want to be STRONG and able to run like 5 miles 2-3x a week.  I think this is doable. 
Currently I can't even do a push up, so I have a lot of room for improvement. 
I would LOVE to wake up early and do some yoga to set a daily intention.  I think this would also make me stress eat less through the day (need to work on my relationship with food-food is something to nourish my body and doesn't really serve much else).  I have a hard time waking up though so it will take effort to get me to this point.
I want to run or strength train 30 min - 45 min a day every day. 

Those are my plans. It is a blizzard today so I need to put on my boots and walk down to the gym.

yogas

Did yoga home day 11 today and she did crow and Scott did it with me and now he said he's obsessed with crow.
Walked a bunch at work today.
Ate keto level carbs today (45g) but haven't been eating good lately so def not in keto yet.  Scott bought supplies for chocolate chip cookies at TJs today because we're supposed to get 8 inches of snow so baking cookies are fun.  We are going to join the gym tomorrow so that's sad because it's $$$ but we also spent $$$$$$$$ on reservations to Alinea in March.  I'm excited but that means no eating out between now and then basically even though we found a good poke place by my Henry Ford office. 
Goals for tomorrow: run C25k week 4 day 2 (will move on to week 5 next week) on treadmill at gym and do yoga day 12 and stay keto carbs, but we are having curry with pineapple in it so that may be tough.
Goals for next week: Run 3x (week 5), do some strength training 3x (may just be yoga), keto x 7 days (hopefully start actually getting to ketosis next week.  Last time I lost a ton of weight first 2 weeks and then stopped, but plan to keep it up until next trip)

Long term goals:
Broad Street Run (I won't be ready. AAAAAAAGH)
Detroit 1/2 marathon-Oct
Start eating plant based 2 days/week

2 miles on treadmill

Been feeling really worn out lately. Wanted to do a long run on Saturday but was too tired. The 2 miles today was tough. Got new Brooks sneakers but they hurt my left ankle. Wanted to try a different brand because my right knee has been achy. Ran 2 and walked a bunch because I wanted to finish watching Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Seriously the only thing getting me through treadmill running!

2.75 and walked some

Went to gym to do 2 miles but did 2.75! I wanted to go further, but I started getting a cramp under my boobs and couldn't breathe because of it. I think it was gas. Also, I wore leggings that I bought last summer and they kept sliding down my butt. Very annoying. Extra annoying because when my leggings slide, they take my underwear with them. It's very awkward sticking your arm down your pants while running at the gym to try and pull your undies back up. Guess I'm glad I got my new under armour leggings. Need to do laundry though. I really want to run 5 miles this weekend. Feeling discouraged

about 2.2 miles today

Went out today after I got home from church and teaching piano. I hadn't had lunch yet, but didn't want to eat right before running. Just before I got out the door, though, one of my girls (who was supposed to be napping) started wailing like she had the worst nightmare ever. I had to get her, and then she fell asleep on me for an hour. When your baby falls asleep on you, you're not supposed to move because....super cute and they don't do that a lot, and also, before you know it, they'll be teenagers who want nothing to do with you. Anyway, I digress. By the time I got out to run, I was super hungry. Felt good while running, but after mile 2, I started getting a little lightheaded. I guess it wasn't too bad for a first run since stomach bug. Oh yeah. The stomach bug happened. Not pretty.

tired today

Couldn't even get to 2 miles today. Stopped at around 1.95. Oh well. I think it's because I didn't have coffee today. And I stayed up late reading. Who knows! Excuses excuses. Hope my next run is better
