12/7/11 Week 9 Day 1

so i did 30 mins without stopping. first 5 mins on 4.4 and the rest on 4.2. i'm soooo tired today. might be because i stayed up to watch american horro story. scary show, that. hopefully i'll do day 2 tomorrow.

i've been looking into other programs to help me keep this up for when i finish c25k. woah.. finish c25k.. i can't believe i'm 2 days away! anyhow, i started c25k with a phone app (c25k pro)... it was pretty awesome and i think it's what kept me organized enough to get through the plan with all the interval running. the nice lady inside my phone would tell me when to start running and when to stop. my favorite was when she would say, "start your cool down walk." i stopped using the program at around the middle of week 7, when we were pretty much finished with interval running.

i'm debating now whether to go with bridge to 10k (b210k) or one hour runner (OHR). the good thing about b210k is that we go back to interval running... i was kind of a fan because i liked the walking breaks. the good thing about OHR is that it's just straight running - no intervals. running for a long time without stopping makes me feel really awesome. i think i might go with OHR just so i can keep working on running without stopping. we'll see. i really need to work on my speed - i did a total of about 2.65 miles today. still not close to an actual 5k. not sure if i'll be able to walk if i actually run 3.1 miles. i'm basically running about a 15 min mile. this is not too horrible, because back in september i couldn't even run a mile! i think i'm going to work on distance and endurance first, before trying to get faster.

i can't believe i'm 2 days away from finishing c25k!!
