week 7 day 3 and week 8 day 1

i did the last day of week 7 last tuesday before thanksgiving. 25 mins of running at 4.2. today i did the day 1 week 8. TOTALLY thought i was going to die - i think i did 4.4 for about 10 mins, then 4.2 for another 10 mins... and 3.8 for the rest. it was super hard. 28 mins of running with no stopping!! after the first 5 mins, i totally thought i was going to stop and take a break, but i kept giving myself lame little goals... like "just 2 more minutes," or "just .25 more miles..." or "when we get to the commercial break of this episode of friends..." or "when the long hand on the clock gets to the 8." somehow i made it all the way up to 28 mins!! unbelievable! then i had to go and play the organ at an ecumenical service. they did "this little light of mine" and no one knew the version in the hymnal and i wasn't smart enough to figure out the version they were singing. OH WELL! can't always succeed, i guess. so i did a total of 2.4 miles today in about 38 mins... so that means i'm about .7 miles away from actually doing a 5k. we shall see.....!

week 7 day 2

did 25 mins without stopping at 4.2 the WHOLE time! i totally wanted to die the last 4 mins... felt like it wouldn't end! i'm really sore now... and my back kinda hurts. not sure if it's from doing 4.2 the whole 25 mins or if it's from cramps. meh. i can't believe i did it, though. not bad, right? i'm kinda proud of myself!!

week 7 day 1...

25 mins without stopping baby! overall, i did about 2 miles in 30 minutes. not bad, right? especially considering the fact that i couldn't even run a mile. i have to keep telling myself that. so i did 4.2 for 15 mins and then 4.0 for the remaining 10. not bad, right? i'm kind of proud of myself!

11/8/11 - Week 6 day 3

i "ran" for 25 minutes without stopping. i can't believe i did it and that i didn't die. woah. i wanted to stop a lot, but i didn't. i did lower the treadmill speed from 4.2 to 3.7 though. i did 4.2 for 5 mins then felt like dying, so i went down to 4.0 for 5 mins and felt like dying, then i did like 3.8 for 8 mins and felt like dying, so i went down to 3.7 for another 5 mins, and then i went back up to 3.8 for the last minute.

the lady on the treadmill next to me was walking at 4.3.

i have short legs.

week 6 day 2.. 11/4/11

i forgot to mention that week 6 day 1 was made even harder by the man running on the treadmill next to me.... he farted the entire time i was there. disgusting.

anyhow, i did day 2 today... and i think it was OK.. i'm tired... but not dying. i went a little faster - i did the first 10 min set at 4.2... then i did the 2nd set at 4.0 the whole time! not bad, right? i was doing only 3.8 before! so maybe i'm getting a little better, who knows. wait, i definitely am, because i couldn't even run for 60 seconds straight 5 weeks ago. so i should keep going, right? even though i'm slow, right? okay. fine.

week 6 day 1 ...11/2/11

this was really hard. i think week 5 day 3 really wore me out... i basically sat on the couch for the rest of the day after running 20 mins straight. i also had a pretty awful migraine. i definitely didn't feel up to week 6 day 1... and i couldn't stop looking at the clock. oh well. i think i need a new station on pandora.. katy perry is not doing it for me. so i'm going to try to do week 6 day 2 tomorrow... so tired. this week was really stupid too. i hate lawyers.
